We waited until 2:00 to go out because we had to work and the snow didn't start until about 11:30. I wanted some accumulation before we went up there. That worn out ice needed to be covered up. I think we timed it just right. We skied on about 4 inches of new powder which was just barely enough to cover up the ice on the groomers. You could NOT go off of the groomers though. I mean no way no how. I tried it. I felt like I was on broken up ice mounds covered with frosting. It was very strange and extremely dangerous. The groomers were really, surprisingly, good. The visibility was a little tough and the wind was a little on the fierce side but other than that it was a good 8 runs. I'll give it () () () snowballs today. More snow is suppose to come on Thursday.
